Social Rehabilitation for People With Disabilities in The Community
 

Comprehensive services for people with disabilities, based on the nature, severity, and specificity of the disability are provided to develop social and independent living skills, to train and maintain or restore work experience, to empower people with disabilities to live independently in the community, as well as train and participate in the labour market or employment activities.

Social Rehabilitation of People With Disabilities in The Community

Beneficiaries - adults with disabilities and their families/carers, children with disabilities and their families/carers;

 

 

Place of provision - P.Višinskio g. 34, Šiauliai.

 

 

Duration/frequency of provision - services are provided according to the identified need and according to an individual plan. The need of the person is reviewed annually, but the duration of the service for the person shall not exceed 3 years, and the basic services shall be provided at least 4 times a month;

Key services:

  • Development and/or maintenance and/or restoration of social and/or daily living skills, independent living skills, abilities and/or competences, by providing general knowledge and practical training in solving problems arising from disability in the household and/or in the environment, development, restoration and/or reinforcement of learning, employment and/or work skills, in order to help prepare for participation in the labour market and/or the labour market and/or to get a job and/or to stay in the workplace or in employment activities

Complementary services:

  • Accompanying and/or organising transport,

  • Active mobility and healthy lifestyle skills,

  • development and/or maintenance of self-expression skills and artistic abilities,

  • individual and/or group emotional-psychological support, peer support groups

 

Professionals providing services - Social workers and other professionals (e.g. personal care workers, psychologists, special educators, typhlology specialists, occupational therapists, sign language therapists, specialists in various therapies (e.g. occupational, art, etc.), etc.)
